As most of you know, our yearbook this season is focused on players and their teams instead of fund raising, eliminating all third party advertising.It covers all 3 teams and includes many new "features" that we hope will allow it to be a memorable keepsake for all players.Our plan is to distribute the book at the end of March to allow us to capture as much of the season and post-season as we possible.
However, we will retain the tradition of offering families an opportunity to place ads in the book.For example, many parents in the past have taken an ad to wish their son or daughter congratulations. You can also ask grandparents if they would like to place an ad.All of the ads will be 1/6 of the page and will be $25 per ad.
In addition we will be adding a new feature to the yearbook - "Name the Warrior".We will have one or two pages of pictures filled with the players at early stages of their skating and hockey careers with a key of who is who.It will be fun for the kids to guess the players in the pictures!!
But, we need you help (sooner than later!):
If you are interested in placing an ad, please send a picture (if you would like) and the words you would like on the ad.We will format the ad for you.
Send in a picture of your son or daughter when they are young playing hockey or skating.The younger the better because its harder to guess the player!If you don't have a picture of them at a young age playing hockey - send in a fun picture anyway (ie, in a Halloween custom etc...)!

We've been lucky this season to have the services of 5 professional photographers at many of our team's games.
I added a new Photography section link on the home page of our site to allow you to view shots from the games and, should you choose, pick-up a picture or two of your son and/or daughter in action.
Warrior Nation - the blog written by John Nash of the Villager - posted an thought provoking item over the weekend regarding a tradition begun by the boys team over 20 years ago concerning the playing of the national anthem prior to games.
As the new girls team establishes their own traditions and the boys teams continue their 30+ years of play, it's worth a few moments to reflect on the observations John shared from the Ridgefield game on Saturday. You can review them here.
